Magalie Neptune, Contract Specialist The National Park Service requires
a contractor to provide for the presentation of information relating to
the conservation and management of museum collections. Target audiences
are the local and regional historical societies and house museums, and
regional National Park Service sites. The workshops will be conducted
Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Morristown National
Historical Park would like to present workshops: 1 day (8 hours), 2 day
(16 hours), or 3 day (24 hours), depending on the material being
presented. For lecture/hands on workshops up to forty people may be
accomodated. However, for lecture only workshops up to fifty to sixty
people can be accomodated. Topics the Contractor shall present for
Morristown N.H.P include: 1) Writing a concise Condition/Conservation
Report for any of the materials in your collection. 2) Conservation and
Storage of Textiles. 3) Conservation and Storage of: metals, wood,
paintings, glass, and prints. 4) Conducting inspections of donations.
5) Preparing a scope of collection. 6) A curator's tool box. 7)
Inventories of your collection. Request for Quotations may be issued on
