Correctional Complex in Beaumont, Texas, intends to make a single award
for the supply of men's parkas. Quantity: 1,650 each. Specifications:
shell shall be manufactured of minimum 8-ounce dark brown twill of
first quality with quilted lining manufactured of 8-ounce polyester
quilted to nylon taffeta; parkas shall be quilt-lined throughout;
parkas shall be cut full size with minimum body length of 33 inches;
parkas shall have two lower patch pockets with flap cover; parkas shall
have open sleeves without cuffs; parkas shall have a heavy duty #8
metal zipper with a minimum length of 24 inches; parkas shall be
cleanly finished and well-made with no defective stitching, raw edges
or loose threads; all seams shall be made with a 5-thread safety stitch
machine. Parkas shall be First Class and manufactured in accordance
with commercial practices. Delivery shall be made to the Federal
Correctional Complex in Beaumont, Texas, within 60 calendar days of
date of award of purchase order. Delivery terms are FOB destination.
Telephone quotations will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on July 2, 1998.
A written solicitation will not be issued. To submit a quotation in
response to this RFQ, quoters must contact Sonia Elveston, Contract
Specialist, or Al Rauschuber, Jr., Contracting Officer, at the phone
numbers listed above. It is estimated that a purchase order will be
awarded on or before July 16, 1998. All responsible sources may submit
a quotation which will be considered. This is a 100 percent small
