99 -- LINEN RENTAL SERVICE INCLUDING LAUNDERING SOL F0561198R0016 DUE 070998 POC Mr. Scott Walker (719)333-6081 or Ms. Sherry Pittinger (719)333-4908 The USAF Academy, CO has a requirement for linen rental services at U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado. The contractor shall provide all required linen and linen laundering services, necessary to meet and fulfill this requirement. Items to be provided for the above service include the following: Napkins (in a variety of colors), Tablecloths in sizes of 54" X 54", 54" X 120" and 90" X 90" (in a variety of colors), Bar Towels, Shop Towels, Four Way Aprons, Bib Aprons, Grill Pads and 4' X 6' Black Mats. Note: All white tablecloths are to be 100% cotton. Laundering shall include cleaning by mechanical action or by hand in water solutions or detergents and other additives, the term includes repellent treating, bleaching, bluing, chemical rinse (sour), starching, ironing, and pressing operations as appropriate to the type of fabric and nature of soil; and shall be in accordance with generally accepted standards of quality of cleanliness, finish, and appearance. All packaging shall be done according to the schedule, which will appear in the solicitation package and shall be wrapped in plastic film. The resulting contract shall be for a basic period and four, one year option periods. Services will be performed between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 10:30 A.M. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week, excluding Government Observed Holidays, Base closures due to weather and any special order requirements in which adequate notice will be provided. The Contractor's total cost shall include all personnel, vehicles, equipment, tools, carts, materials, laundry cleaning facilities, supervision, and all other items and services necessary to perform linen rental services and laundering of the same at these facilities located on the USAF Academy. The NAF Linen Rental is to be provided, for the following facilities located on the USAF Academy: Officers' Club Bldg. 3120, NCO Club Bldg. 5226, Bowling Alley Bldg. 5128, and Ritcher Lounge located in Arnold Hall. All required services will occur between 01 Oct and 30 Sep of each contract period, with exception to the basic year.
