Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service,
Plant Protection and Quarantine, requires aircraft services to support
the Medfly Program in Florida. The base of operations will be the
MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. The initial requirement is
for at least two aircraft with qualified pilots and dispersers for
aerial distribution of sterile medflies, but as many as six aircraft
might be required at some point to satisfy possible Program expansion
demands. Special purpose modifications will be required for
installation of the refrigerated insect release machine and related
equipment. A pre-proposal conference will be held in July to address
any questions presented by the solicitation, which will provide the
details of the time and place of the conference. For a copy of the
