The building will have a concrete foundation and piers; 100% concrete tilt-up wall panels with approximately 60% face brick and CMU veneer; steel structure; built-up roof, aluminum storefront; and full truck dock, in accordance with the plans and specifications. Site is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Yupon in Houston. Estimated cost range $1,700,000 -- $2,000,000 and construction time is 300 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. Offeror must provide, at time offer is due, documentation from bonding agent stating offeror's bonding capability. Thesuccessful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on July 15, 1998. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on June 15, 1998 at a cost of $100.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only.
