The US Department of Justice, Justice Management Division, Facilities and Administration Services Staff (FASS), intends to issue an IFB for three (3) High Pressure Fire-Tube Steam Packaged Boilers and one (1) Low-Temperature Water-Tube Packaged Boiler for the United States Border Patrol Academy at the US Naval Station in Charleston, South Carolina. Contractor duties will include the removal of existing boilers and their associated components and both the sales and installation of the new boilers. The estimated magnitude of this project is $100,000 to $250,000. Completion of all work after the Notice to Proceed is estimated at 100 days or less. Estimated issue date is July 08, 1998, with a due date for receipt of bids and bid opening 30 days after issuance. There will also be a pre-bid walk through for all interested contractors estimated to be around July 22, 1998. This requirement is a total set-aside for small business concerns, however, this does not preclude large businesses from proposing in the event of no small business concerns being available.
