99.1 SBIR Pre-Solicitation Tentative Topics,
http://www.afmc.wpafb.af.mil/TTO/sbir/links.htm. The Air Force has
projected their FY 99.1 Small Business Research Development tentative
topic requirements. The proposed topics contain the same information as
will appear in the DOD program solicitation 99.1 that opens on or about
Dec. 1, 1998, plus the name/phone number/fax number/e-mail of the
individual sponsoring the topic. The purpose of this document is to
provide small businesses with an advance copy of the AF SBIR
requirements. It also provides an opportunity to discuss the technical
aspects of these requirements with the point of contact from the
sponsoring organization. It is anticipated that the additional insight
will assist small businesses in preparing more competitive technical
proposal(s). Questions may be addressed to the sponsoring activity
through Nov. 30, 1998. As of Dec. 1, 1998, no additional technical
information (this includes specifications, recommended approaches,
further refinement, the limiting of topic areas, and the like) can or
will be made available by Air Force personnel during the DOD program
solicitation period, approximately Dec. 1,1998 through Jan. 15, 1999,
except through the DTIC SBIR Interactive Technical Information System.
These tentative topics will be released on the World Wide Web; the URL
is http://www.afmc.wpafb.af.mil/TTO/sbir/links.htm. A hard copy of the
SBIR topics may also be obtained by contacting AFRL at (937) 656-9063.
Note: No Discussions may be held with the point of contact after Nov.
