Ms. Maria Papet, (619)553-5725. This is a sources sought synopsis. This
is not an RFP. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego
(SSCSD) is seeking small or small disadvantaged businesses that are
interested in responding to a future solicitation for engineering and
technical support for the Navy Tactical Command System-Afloat (NTCS-A)
and the Shipboard Non-Tactical ADP Program (SNAP III). The contractor
shall design, develop, test, and evaluate installation kits. The
contractor shall provide hands-on engineering to enhance, modify,
maintain, test, and calibrate NTCS-A and SNAP III equipment. Tasking
will include, but is not limited to, pre-installation support, actual
installation, and final certification of installations. The contractor
shall be required to maintain a facility in San Diego County,
California. Travel within the United States and Pacific region will be
required as well as limited travel on board U.S. Naval vessels. The
anticipated contract will be for five years for an estimated 285,000
hours. This effort is a recompetition for contract N66001-96-D-0068.
All SB/SDB firms are invited to submit a capabilities statement not to
exceed two (2) pages, within 15 days, describing the types of related
services their company offers. The statement should describe the type
of related services the company offers and the company's size,
experience and capabilities, and provide a point of contact by name,
address, and phone number. The Government will not recognize any cost
associated with submission of the capabilities statement. Telephone
inquiries or responses are not acceptable. Responses must be in writing
