On behalf of the Army Research Institute, Defense Supply Service-Washington intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract from this solicitation. There will be multiple awards. The work to be performed addresses the conduct of research, development, studies, and operations and maintenance relating to training issues for Active Component soldiers and units in combined arms organizations with joint and collateral exercises and activities. There are two broad areas of work anticipated under this procurement for Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations TADSS: (1) Task Area 1. Design and development of tools amd innovative training strategies, methods, materials, media, and training management approaches; (2) Task Area 2. Design and development of training assessment tools; design, development, and conduct of short term and longitudinal evaluations of training systems and programs, including training transfer. Services have been provided under contract numbers DASW01-92-D-0075 with BDM and DASW01-94-D-0011 with HumRRO.
