R -- ASSIST GROUPS OF HEALTH START PROJECTS SOL HRSA-98-MCHB-53A DUE 062698 POC Aileen Broider-301-443-5231 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the Health Care Strategy Associates, Inc., 1815 H Street, N.W., Suite 400, Washington, DC 20006. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to assist small groups of Health Start projects in developing customized strategies and workplans to approach Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) regarding contracting for Health Start services. The contractor shall develop a workplan outline and a set of handout materials for the workshops; prepare a letter to project directors regarding the workshops; conduct five regional workshops; and develop a final project report on the workshops and recommendations for future technical assistance. The Health Care Strategy Associates, Inc. is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. The period of performance is 7 months.
