Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment,
transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to replace the
sewage line at the Eagle Pier, USCG Academy, New London, CT. Project
consists of removing and replacing the entire existing pier sewage line
including all associated systems and heat tracing system. Estimated
cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. SIC code is 1623.
Period of performance is 84 days from Notice to Proceed, with on-site
work limited to a period of 42 days. Solicitation packages to be

BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small
and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT
Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For
