American Embassy Bogota, Narcotics Affairs Section has a requirement
for helicopter maintenance courses. ALL COURSES MUST BE PRESENTED IN
SPANISH AND CLASSES WILL BE HELD IN COLOMBIA, BOGOTA. This requirement
consist of the following five courses: 1. Avionic's Electrical
Maintenance is an introduction to the applicable model avionic system,
including, theory of operation, component location, system operation,
system programming (if applicable) and field maintenance and
troubleshooting. This shall familiarize the student with the
inspections, servicing, use of special tools, materials, and equipment
required to perform field level maintenance of the related avionics
system. 2. 206B-III Electrical Maintenance is a 40 hour course which is
a comprehensive study of the model 206B-III helicopter electrical
system, including a detailed analysis of circuite in each of the
following systems, D.C. power distribution, power train, airframe, and
basic avionics interface. Component description, operation, function,
location and access provision shall be discussed at the field
maintenance level. 3. 206L- Series Electrical Maintenance is a 40 hour
course which is comprehensive study of the model of 206L- Series
helicopter electrical system, including a detailed analysis f circuits
in each of the following systems: D.C. power distribution, power
train, airframe, and basic avionics interface. Component description,
operation, function, location and access provisions shall be discussed
at the field maintenance level. 4. 212 Electrical Maintenance is a 80
hour course which is a comprehensive study of the 212 helicopter
electrical system, including a detailed analysis of circuits in each of
the following categories: D.C. power distribution, power train system,
airframe system, utility system, A.C. power distribution, A.C. and
D.C. indicating systems and avionics interface. The type, function,
location of components, and access provisions shall be discussed. This
is the first course of a two course series. 5. 212 AutomaticFlight
Control System is the second course of number 4. This is an 80 hour
course which is a comprehensive study of the 212 helicopter automatic
flight control system. The course shall include a detailed description
of system operation and components interface, as well as analysis of
circuits in the SCAS and attitude systems. For all of the above
courses, troubleshooting procedures shall be discussed utilizing known
and probable faults. IMPORTANT: The solicitation is contained in this
notice. Vendors have all necessary information to present an offer.
