Miller. 915-696-3685 The work included in this single contract undertaking is composed of two "projects." Project No. FNWZ 97-0005 consists of the Contractor furnishing all layout, survey, labor, supervision, quality control materials, equipment, machines, tools, appliances, services, supplies and incidentals and of performing all operations in connection with the refinishing of two (2) Type III operating tank exteriors, adding striker plates and spot painting interiors, and replacing floating pan roof vapor seals at Dyess AFB, Texas, complete and in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. An American Petroleum Institute (API) 653 inspection has been performed to determine the tank's condition. Lead/chromate paint sampling was conducted, lead/chromate was found, and abatement is required by this project. The contractor as a part of the project shall obtain all required permits for air control and hazardous waste. All hazardous and/or non-hazardous waste generated by the project shall be disposed of by the contractor in accordance with current Federal, State of Texas and Air Force regulations and the plans and specifications. The tanks are currently in use and will be cleaned by the Government before construction begins. The specifications require the potential bidders must have performed at least three of the same or similar tank installations within the last two years. Project No. FNWZ 95-0090 consists of the Contractor furnishing all layout, survey, labor, supervision, quality control, materials, equipment, machines, tools, appliances, services, supplies and incidentals and performing all operations in connection with cleaning and resealing of joints and cracks in concrete containment dikes for two Type III operating tanks at Dyess AFB, Texas, complete and strict accordance with the plans and specifications. The project requires the cleaning and resealing of approximately 4,200 linear feet of joints, and the sawing and sealing of approximately 2,270 linear feet of cracks. The estimated construction cost range isbetween $250,000 and $500,000 for the contract. The estimated construction time is 130 calendar days total for the contract. This procurment is unrestricted and open to both large and small businesses. All requests for this solicitation must be made in writing. Bidders must state their business size in their request.
