The Center for Substance Abuse and Treatment/SAMHSA through the Program Support Center, General Acquisition Branch intends to award a four month sole source Simplified Acquisition to Centerlink, The Partnership for Behavioral Health Care, to develop a manual on Linking Managed Behavioral Care and Criminal Justice Systems. The manual will address key issues and strategies for applying managed care techniques to the delivery of cost-effective, high quality substance abuse treatment services for populations of individuals involved in the criminal justice system. The Contractor will conduct a planning meeting, identify and travel judges and criminal justice system experts on substance abuse to a national leadership conference and obtain their input on the content and design of the manual. The manual will be developed in collaboration with the National Treatment Accountability for Safer Communities (TASC). Anticipated award date is June 18,1998. No Solicitation will be issued. (0153)
