Antol_John%pax9b@mr.nawcad.navy.mil. The Naval Air Warfare Center
Aircraft Division has a requirement for the development, update, and
maintenance of tactical weapons and ground threat systems simulations.
This work is focused on training air combat crews. Weapons deployed by
the trainees, and weapons deployed against the trainees are supported
by this set of simulations. Simulation of ground-based threat weapons
along with their associated radar and infrared guidance systems are to
be included in this contract. The software generated will be used on
various operational and developmental Navy, Marine, Air Force, Army and
Foreign Military training systems. The contractor shall develop
real-time and faster-than-real-time digital simulations of air-to-air,
air-to-surface, surface-to-air, and surface-to-surface weapon systems.
This activity is coordinated by NAWCAD at Patuxent River, MD. The work
to be performed shall consist of the delivery, update, documentation,
maintenance, and support of new and existing simulation software;
providing enhancements to existing simulations and software
configuration management related tasks, and performing Software
Development Management functions. The proposed contract is 100% set
aside for small business concerns. The Standard Industry Code (SIC) is
7371. This requirement is a follow-on effort to N62269-94-C-1301, with
FAAC, Inc. being the incumbent contractor. Award of a cost plus fixed
fee level of effort type contract is anticipated. The base period shall
be for one year with four one year options. The Government shall
request separate technical and cost proposals in order to evaluate the
greatest value proposal. As part of the evaluation an on-site Software
Production Capability Assessment shall be performed for each offeror.
