Potential sources are being sought for a Time and Materials contract to support exercise planning, execution and fine-grain analysis services for the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Fleet Air Readiness Effectiveness Measuring Program (AIREM). The Naval Air Systems Command/PMA264 plans to issue a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) to conduct a full and open competition in 4th Quarter fiscal year 1998, to award in January 1999. The RFP will detail essential support requirements for AIREM pre-exercise planning; structured acoustic/non-acoustic data collection actions; in-depth post exercise reconstruct and analysis and multi-exercise data trend cross correlations. The aforementioned actions should lead to focused conclusions on ASW tactics and sensor system deficiencies with recommended Fleet corrective actions, while supporting new sensor technology research and development and the early assessment of prototype ASW systems, when feasible.
