VA National Acquisition Center will issue solicitation M5-01-98 for Dept. of Veterans Affairs' and Dept. of Defense's requirements for various strengths and package sizes of cimetidine and ranitidine. The resulting contract will be a requirements type contract and will be a mandatory source for the participants. It is anticipated that the Federal Bureau of Prisons and Indian Health Services will also participate in the contract. The contract period will be for one year plus four option years. Offers will be due 7/8/98. On or about 6/16/98 the solicitation will be available for downloading from the VA Office of Acquistion and Materiel Management's internet web site at http://www.va.gov/oa&;mm/busopp/sols.htm.
