ML-97-SB-2326 The Bi-State Development Agency (Agency) is soliciting bids for Maintenance Facility for the St. Clair County Illinois Metrolink Extension project. The Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal is 26%. DBE firms are invited to propose directly or with another firm. The Maintenance Facility contract is comprised of construction of two buildings and the adjacent sitework. The Maintenance Facility Building will be located at 2901 St. Clair Avenue, East St. Louis, Illinois. The work will consist of construction of a 48,000 square foot light rail vehicle maintenance shop and sitework for the 13-acre site. Elements of work include demolition and site clearing, earthwork (excavation, rough grading, finish grading), construction of structures and light pole foundations, construction of asphalt roadways and parking lots, construction of concrete roadways including concrete curb and gutter, construction of concrete flatwork (sidewalk stairs, handicap ramps), relocation of existing utilities (storm sewers, sanitary sewers, conduits, irrigation), and erosion control (seeding, sodding and select ground cover). Also included is shop track, shop equipment and furniture, fire protection system and electrical work. The Material Storage Building will be located at 700 South Ewing Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri. The work will consist of construction of a 6,000 square foot warehouse. Elements of work include pavement removals, earthwork, grading, embedded track, concrete pavement, precast concrete walls, structural steel, and steel roof joists.
