appeared in May 7, 1998 Commerce Business Daily (Submission Number
197795). The deadline has been extended to 30 June 1998 and has been
changed to reflect that date. The Naval Surface Warfare Center,
Dahlgren Division is seeking sources for a GUI testing suite. The
product will be used for software executing on a PowerPC 2604 VME board
(Motorola 2600 CPU based) using Wind River's VxWorks (Version 5.3.1),
Tornado (Version 1.0.1) real-time Operating System. This testing suite
must provide keyboard, mouse and trackball user interface, and
touchscreen if available. The manipulation of user input data must be
easily made. Display data under test should be collected in bitmap
and/or ACSII test level. A run-time or post process method of comparing
collected display output is required. There is not a requirement for a
non-intrusive suite; however, there is a time constraint on the
configuration and re-configuration of the system. The testing suite
must be configured for use on the NSWCDD system in under thirty (30)
minutes, and the NSWCDD system must be re-configured back to a normal
state in under thirty (30) minutes. Some anomalies of our system
include a display resolution of 1280x1024, a color saturation of 256,
8 bit color map, a video mode that is non-VESA standard, and a dot
clock of 108MHz. An optional feature if available: PCI bus monitoring
that can be integrated into GUI testing suite for run-time collection
of additional data. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT; A
SOLICITATION IS NOT AVAILABLE. NSWCDD is seeking written information
from vendors demonstrating the capabilities of their products to
provide the testing suite described above. Product information should
include the vendor's ability to provide on-site training, and
maintenance (include: terms and conditions, duration, pricing etc.) Two
copies of this product information including pricing should be
submitted no later than the close of business 30 June 1998 to the
following address: Contracting Officer, Attn:SD11D/K. Lenox/BLDG 183,
NAVSURFWARCEN Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA
22448-5100 or via e-mail: klenox@nswc.navy.mil. The Government will not
pay for material provided in response to this synopsis. (0148) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0440 19980601\70-0008.SOL)
