Work shall include demolition and removal of existing mechanical work and replacement of steam and condensate piping in Buildings 5, 9, 11, and 12. The solicitation package shall be available o/a June 12, 1998. Requests for bid package must be in writing to the attention of the Contracting Officer (90C1) at the above address. Requests must include a refundable $100 bid deposit in the form of a CERTIFIED CHECK OR MONEY ORDER made payable to VA MEDICAL CENTER, SALEM, VA. Bid deposits are refundable contingent upon the return of the complete bid package to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days of the bid opening. Bid opening shall be o/a July 13, 1998. The estimated cost range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. SIC Code 1711 applies. This procurement is unrestricted. Thirty bid packages will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
