The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Western-Pacific Region,
under the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) hereby publicly
announces its intention to contract for all work associated with the
installation of an Instrument Landing System (ILS) to serve Runway 03
at Lanai Airport, Lanai, Hawaii. Work includes, but is not limited to
surveying to locate ILS easement, installing conduits, install power
and control duct banks, install concrete foundations, footing and
ancillary work, assemble, mount, level and align LOC, DME and GS unit
or equipment; install grounding counterpoise system, install power and
control circuits, grading, and install fence. The estimated dollar
range for this procurement is between $300,000 to $400,000. The
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this project is 1796.
All work to be in strict accordance with the project plans and
specifications. The FAA currently has Ten (10) prequalified sources it
intends to solicit for responses to this requirement. In addition to
the prequalified sources, the FAA will provide solicitation requested
documents to the first Ten (10) written requests responding to this
announcement, on a "first come" basis only. Requests for a solicitation
package must identify the SOLICITATION NUMBER and must be made in
writing to the address above or via facsimile to (310) 536-8550; ATTN:
Edward Gibson. TELEPHONIC REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. Request for
solicitation packages received after the first Ten (10), regardless of
method transmitted, will not be honored. It is anticipated that the
Request for Offers DTFA08-98-B-02947 will be issued on or about June
