Thadeus, Senior Purchasing Agent, (314) 286-4268; Contracting Officer, Beverly Franklin The St. Louis (Missouri) Housing Authority (SLHA) is contemplating the up-grade or replacement of our current MIS system. This announcement is NOT a formal solicitation and is NOT a request for proposals. Availability of any formal solicitation, if appropriate, will be announced at a later date. This synopsis is for information gathering purposes ONLY, and it is not to be construed as a committment by the SLHA. The SLHA is requesting consultants and consulting firms with appropriate credentials and experience to submit their qualifications to provide guidance, oversight and direct services, as necessary, with respect to the following computer/data processing tasks: complete installation of PC-based LAN/WAN; conduct survey of clients data processing needs; conduct survey of clients communication needs; and, assist in the preparation of specifications and/or statement of work for any subsequent solicitation. The consultant/firm should possess the following qualifications and competencies: experience withlarge public housing authorities; PC based LAN/WAN instllation; Unix platform, Windows NT 4.0 server; Windows 95 clients, Windows 98; previous conversion/installation of a mini computer system; previous clients with annual budgets greater than 25 million dollars; experience with government clients; interactive voice response systems construction; bar code systems creations; data storage on optical disks; and, fiber optics. Additional attributes: knowledge of Pick operating system and St. Louis area staff/office/presence. Interested parties should submit two (2) copies of their qualifications to the POC at the above address, to arrive no later than June 8, 1998. All responses should address the desired qualifications and competencies and contain at least four representative references.
