It is the intent of the Government to award a requirements contract for contractor operated depot level repair of secondary items, supporting assemblies, and assemblies/subassemblies and for the procurement of various quantities of secondary items for which McDonnel Douglas Aerospace a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company is the only source with the expretise, knowledge, the technical package with to which to manufacture and repair these items for the Kiowa Warrior Mast Mounted Sight System. The period performance will be for five fiscal years beginning in 1999 and continuing through 2003. Orders will be issued as requirements materialize, Destinations to be furnished. Offerors must be approved and qualified. The Government does not posses sufficient documentation to acquire or repair these items from other than the qualified source(s). A technical data package which defines all engineering and and quality requirements is not available. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources.
