99 -- MAINTENANCE OF ARMY'S PREPOSITIONED STOCKS (APS)-AFLOAT SOL DAAA0998R0094 POC Contract Specialist: Arthur Fanter (309)782-3361, Contracting Officer: Jan Isenberg (309)782-3620 POC CONTACT THE CONTRACT SPECIALIST: Arthur Fanter 309/782-3361 PROCURING CONTRACTING OFFICER: Jan Isenberg 309/782-3620 The HQ, U.S. Army War Reserve Support Command (AWRSPTCMD) is seeking comments on a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP DAAA09-98-R-0094) for the maintenance of the Army's Prepositioned Stocks (APS)-Afloat. This maintenance work will be performed at Combat Equipment Group Asia (CEG-A) located at Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, SC. Interested sources should be capable of managing and performing maintenance on all classes of APS except Class I (MRE) and Class V (ammunition) in compressed time frames during ship turnarounds. Responsibility for maintenance of APS will continue while afloat and during handoff in contingency operations. Requests for the hard copy shall be forwarded to HQ, AWRSPTCMD, ATTN: SIOEC-CO/A. Fanter, Rock Island, IL 61299-6000, FAXED to 309/782-2653 or emailed to fantera@ioc.army.mil. Telephone requests will not be accepted. The draft will be available approximately June 15, 1998. Comments about the draft RFP should be forwarded to the POC at the above address no later than 15 days after the date it is made available. Specific questions we ask you to address are contained in the Executive Summary. All comments received become the property of the U.S. AWRSPTCMD and will not be attributed or disseminated. Interested parties should be aware that a proposal in response to this solicitation might be submitted by the South Carolina National Guard (SCARNG). If the SCARNG proposal is determined to be the Best Value to the Government by the Source Selection Authority, this solicitation would be cancelled and an award would be made under an agreement pursuant to 32 U.S.C. 113(A), dated Nov 18, 1997. A presolicitation conference will be held on or about July 1, 1998 at HQ, AWRSPTCMD, Rock Island, IL. Questions submitted in writing to the POC above will be addressed at this conference without attribution. Parties interested in attending should submit their names to the POC above.
