Design/Build services to provide a mail carrier at the Harold Washington Center, 600 W. Madison, Chicago, Illinois. Existing equipment should be reused to the largest extend possible, (rails, running gear, containers), and should adapt to the existing building configuration (shaft size, openings, etc.). The new system shall serve the basement and floors 3 through 10, and include flexibility for future expansion and changes in tenant space. The new signaling system shall be direct digital controls (DDC). The existing shaft acts like a vent, drawing in fumes from the parking garage, provide fire doors to minimize the draft effect. Estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000.
