Contract Specialist, 913-682-8700 X320; fax, 913-682-1176 The U.S. Penitentiary, Leavenworth KS, is soliciting a contractor to design, fabricate and deliver a metal stairway, to be installed as an emergency exit in D-Cellhouse. The stairway shall rise five (5) floors from ground level, include landings and handrails, and meet all applicable codes including Life Safety Code NFPA 101 and UFAS. In addition to submitting a quotation for the price of the stairway, offerors may submit an alternate #1 for the price to install the stairway. The RFQ packet will be issued on or about 6/5/98, with a response date scheduled for 7/6/98. Though not mandatory, a site visit is strongly encouraged and is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., 6/10/98.
