This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-98-Q-1389. This is a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-32 and DAC 91-1. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) has an immediate requirement for non-personal services to furnish all labor, tools, materials, and facilities needed to conduct fabrication of laser propulsion test hardware and purchase of necessary equipment necessary to carry out Light craft experiments. Period of performance will be 28 May 98 through 30 Jun 98. To obtain a copy of the statement of work contact the buyer. The Air Force Flight Test Center intends to obtain these fabrication laser propulsion test hardware services from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY 12180-3590, unless responses to this notice reveal additional sources capable of providing services requested. The Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be used in awarding this contract by written quotation. Contractors making bids should submit proposal based on the above requirement.
