A -- SHAPE NPS (SNPS) EXERCISE INSTALLATION DATA BASE (EIDB) PROGRAM POC David Staudt, Negotiator, (703) 325-9210, Edward L. Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028 The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) intends to award a sole source Task Order to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) under current Basic Ordering Agreement DNA001-95-G-0113. This effort involves modification of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) Nuclear Planning System (NPS) exercise installation data base. Specifically, SAIC shall refine, update, and enlarge the existing installation data base and install it in other versions of NPS when fielded. SAIC is the sole developer of these software programs and have experience with them since 1988. Because of the limited scope of work, estimated to be .6 man year, no other source is known to be capable of performing the work in the two-month time requirement and within available funding.
