The statutory authority to negotiate with Carfax Publishing Limited is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) under FAR 6.302-1. The objective of the proposed contract is to publish select workshop proceeding as a supplement to Addiction, a premier international journal in addiction research. The supplement will comprise overview and review articles on animal and human models and measures of craving. It will contain 10 to 15 review articles and 6 to 12 commentaries. The proposed contractor is the leading international journal in addiction research and is the only company that can ensure wide circulation of the publication to a broad clinical as well as addiction research audience.
