This is a synopsis of a requirement for commercial services prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in the notice. A written solicitation
will be issued upon request. This is a request for quotation (RFQ)
number DTCG80-98-Q-3HB328. This solicitation document will incorporate
provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-04. The standard industrial classification code is 7699
and the size standard is $5.0 employees. The requirement is for the
following: Provide all labor, material, and services to overhaul four
(4) Detroit Diesel 6V-71 engine. Engines to be picked up no later then
1 Aug 98, and returned by 30 Aug 98. Specifications to be provided on
request. The government will award a contract resulting from this
solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the
solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and
other factors considered. The following factorsshall be used to
evaluate offer: Price, Required Delivery Date. The proposed contract
listed here will be awarded as part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Offers are due on June 15, 1998,
