512 The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue orders on multiple
occasions over the period of Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA)
N00024-98-G-5105 with Lockheed Martin Corporation, Government
Electronics System (LMC,GES), 199 Borton Landing Road, Moorestown, NJ
08057. Orders will be issued for evaluation and implementation of
equipment changes as a result of approved Engineering Change Proposals
(ECP) for the Aegis Weapon System MK 7. Evaluation and implementation
effort includes conducting special studies and training, evaluating
and testing to determine feasibility of proposed equipment changes,
reviewing existing drawings, updating technical manuals and training
course material to reflect any changes brought about by equipment
changes, and preparing Ordnance Alteration Instructions (ORDALTs).
Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). LMC,GES is the
developer and sole producer of the AEGIS Weapon System MK 7. It is the
only company which possesses the knowledge, experience, tooling and
equipment necessary to perform the tasks described. No other source has
the technical qualifications ad the necessary resources to perform the
work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy
the Navy's requirements. Companies interested in subcontracting
