This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3572. This is a sole source procurement to Chandler May Inc (CMI), 125 West Park Loop, Huntsville AL, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(c). The requirement is for 1 Rugged Data Link Variant Chassis with the following: rugged dual-backplane VME chassis, 709 series rugged vertical enclosure, 19" rack mountable, 8U high, 16 position 6U x 160mm sub rack recessed 3", shock isolated subrack, split VME backplane 6/10, 6 slot VME J1/J2 backplane w/ABG connector & shroud, 10 slot VME J1/J2 backplane w/ ABG connector and shroud. The required delivery date is 24 August 1998. The award will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Shipping terms will be FOB destination.
