Scott/Pkwrs/[937]257-4872 Nonpersonal service for preventive and
remedial hardware and software maintenance, documentation, and
technology updates for existing Intergraph Corporation's Computer Aided
Design/Computer Aided Engineering (CAD/CAE) software and equipment. The
CAD/CAE System is used to support scientific, engineering,
architectural, design, drafting and digitizing requirements of Air
Force Research Laboratory's Propulsion Directorate at Wright-Patterson
AFB OH. The equipment consists of Intergraph workstations, servers,
Intergraph-Vaxes and various printers, plotters and external disk
drives. The CAD/CAE software consists of Intergraph application
packages in areas of mechanical drafting and modeling, architectural
design and engineering, heating, ventilating and air conditioning
design, space planning and facilities management, digital terrain
modeling, plant design, finite element analysis, electrical design and
engineering, numerical control, structural analysis and electronic
design, as well as nucleus products for file management, plotting,
programming and networking. Period of Performance: 01 Oct 98 through 30
Sep 99, with four one-year options. Negotiations on a sole source basis
with Intergraph Corporation, Huntsville AL. This synopsis is published

requirements. Mr. Stephen J. Plaisted has been appointed as Ombudsman
to hear concerns from offerors, or potential offerors, during the
proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate
contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the
appropriate government personnel. Existence of an Ombudsman does not
diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting
officer. Accordingly, the Ombudsman does not participate in the
preparation of solicitations, the evaluation of proposals or the source
selection process and, therefore, for routine matters on individual
