swagner@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC at Picatinny Arsenal,
NJ currently has a requirement for an engineering effort which will
incorporate corrective actions to the SCS2 Fuze for the Penetration
Augmented Munition (PAM) Program. This effort was previously
successfully completed using a unique Lawrence Livermore, Reynolds
Industry Systems, Inc. (RISI) designed fuze (SCS2) for the Follow
Through Charge. Due to duplication costs, the Government plans to
utilize RISI for this effort. The contractor is expected to incorporate
corrective actions to the SCS2 Fuze to include the redesign of the high
voltage connector, make provisions on the Printed Wiring Board (PWB)
layout for delay times up to 35 msec (factory set), design the
interface between SCS2 and SCS1 (the PAM fuze that provides the high
voltage and safe separation time), and identify the critical component
qualification levels. The contractor will establish the build process,
configuration control, and test procedures, which will be used for
future manufacturing. The contractor shall deliver a minimum of four
refurbished SCS2 fuzes within 14 weeks after contract award and ship in
place. The contractor shall purchase 64 each high voltage connectors
and 32 eac IVARCS within 14 weeks after contract award and ship in
place . TACOM-ARDEC plans to satisfy this requirement via Sole Sole
