Defense Distribution Center located at New Cumberland, PA has a
requirement for the procurement of 10 each, Computerized Guard Tour
Systems to include: Data recorder (keypad/with display); interface
charger, software for windows, stations w/tamperproof screws, screws
and anchors, dirver handle with bit, interface cable and leather pouch,
plus 5 each extra data recorders. Minimum specifications for
Electronic/Computerized Guard Tour System : These systems will be used
to provide the necessary capabilities for collecting and reporting
information and to verify the regulatory after hours building and area
checks. In some cases this sytem will be used to verify that the Intra
Service Support Agreement services are received. The Stations should be
encoded magnetic type, weather and vandal resistant, maintenance free
and not adversely affected by weather, paint and etc. Tamper resistant
attachment of stations to buildings. Software/interface/Reports:
provide interface and software so information can be transferred from
Data Recorders to computer to printer the following reports: daily tour
report; historical report by at least location, type incident, officer
and missed station; software should provide for random and programmed
tour capability. Data Recorders: water and shock resistant and in
tamper proof case; provide an audio and visual signal to notify the
operator when stations have been successfully read, provide warning if
battery is low an status of memory; record a minimum of 3,500 station
reading with each rading having the minimum of time, date, station
number and name; LCD display to verify entries made into keypad; eight
digit supplemental code to identify incidents; password controlled
with unlimited guard identification; at least 85 user programmable
incident codes; modem compatible and leather pouch/holster. This
Request for Quotation and the resultant contract award are being
processed in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All
responsible contractors may submit a quotation forthe above specified
procurement which if received by 3:00 PM EST on June 3, 1998, shall be
considered. Oral or fax quotations will be accepted by calling the
