J -- The USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, proposes to contract for the dockside repair of USCGC WASHINGTON (WPB 1331). The WASHINGTON is homported in Honollulu, HI. All work to be performed at the cutter's homeport. Major work includes, but is not limited to the following items: Gantt (Bar) Production Chart; Underwater Body Inspection, Diver; Installation of Riser Coaming; Heat Exchanger Cleaning and Testing; Electric Motor Overhaul; Electric Meter Calbration; Calibrate Critical Pressure, Thermometer, and Tachometer Gauges; Engine Room Mechanical Vent Closure Installation (S/A 110-A-055); Air Handler Renewal; Potable Water Tank Cleaning and Inspection; Brominator Installation (S/A 110-A-056) Inspection and Testing; Sewage and Grey Water Piping Cleaning and Inspection; Polymeric Deck Coverings Replacement, Repair, and Resealing; Insulation Renewal; and Temporary Services. The period of performance is 05 October through 30 October 1998. This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises; The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utiliztion (OSDBU), has a program to assist monority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
