Monica Becraft (202) 273-1468 Architect-Engineering (A-E) Services for
Projects Not to Exceed the Small Purchase Limitation of $25,000.00. The
Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts requests submission of SF
254's, for inclusion in a permanent data base, by those firms wishing
to be considered for Government contracts not expected to exceed the
$25,000.00 small purchase limitation. A permanent evaluation board
shall maintain an A-E qualifications data file in accordance with FAR
36.603. Each firm shall be classified with respect to: (1) Location;
(2) Specialized experience; (3) Professional capabilities; and (4)
Capacity. The data file shall be reviewed and updated annually, with
the first update scheduled in June 1998. Projects may consist of broad
based architect-engineering services to include, but not limited to:
site analysis, evaluation and development; CADD services; sound system
designs; audio visual system designs; courtroom technologies;
mechanical, electrical, and architectural design; and, historic
preservation studies. Potential projects may be geographically located
in 50 contiguous states and U.S. Territories (Guam). Firms will be
rated and selected on the following criteria: (1) Professional
qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required
services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the
type of work required; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the
required time; (4) Past performance on contracts with Government
agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of
work, and compliance with performance schedules; and (5) Location in
the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the
locality of the project, provided that the application of this criteria
leaves an appropriate number of qualified firms, given the nature and
size of the project. Firms desiring consideration shall submit a
Standard Form 254 to the attention of Mr. Finnus Garrett, AOUSC, Space
and Facilities Division, Suite G-100, Washington, DC 20544, no later
than June 15, 1998. This announcement is not a request for proposals.
