J -- REPAIR SOURCE SEEKING SYNOPSIS SOL F34601-98-50000 DUE 052998 POC For copy, Madeline Clements/Lpdpa/[405]739-4496, For additional information contact Madeline Clements/Lpdpa/[405]739-4496 A requirement exists for the Air Force to repair a limited number of F101 Bleed Air Manifold Housing, NSN 2995-01-224-7735, Part Number 723634. General Repair Requirements are pre-grinding, electroless nickel plating IAW AMS 2405, and finish grinding. The repair will require fabrication of two holding fixtures for grinding of the valve seats. One of these seats is oriented at an angle to the housing axis which will require an elaborate fixture. The Bleed Air Manifold Housing is a welded assembly made of AMS 5383 (Inconel 718) with numerous complex machined features. No Engineering Data can be provided. However the Statement of Objectives calls out a repair of this type in the depot repair technical order and a copy of this repair is available for interested parties. It is anticipated that this is a one-time repair requirement for a total quantity of 16 parts.
