41 -- AIR-CONDITIONING & AIR CIRCULATING EQUIPMENT SOL RFQ 124-0014 DUE 060598 POC Richard Houser, Contract Specialist, 608-584-6306 This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ 124-0014) to furnish all materials and perform all labor necessary for the installation of new air conditioning systems and associated ductwork, and ductwork repair in the following areas: Control Center, Receiving and Discharge, S.I.S. and Business Office, Mail Room. 1)Control Center: (Area will be serviced by an independent system.) Provide and install a 4 ton split air conditioning system. 2) Receiving and Discharge: Provide and install a complete 40 ton air conditoning condensing unit, evaporator coil, A/C piping, controls, demolition and modification of ductwork, wiring and all associated work not limited by these overall specifications to result in a satisfactory operation as an air conditoning system to all areas served to AHU 100-2. 3)S.I.S. and Business Office: This entire system currently is a constant volume system. It will be changed to a VAV bypass system with ten zones replacing the existing re-heat boxes. Providing and installing a complete 30 ton airconditioning condensing unit, A/C piping, controls, demolition and modification of ductwork, wiring, and all associated work not limited by these overall specifications to result in a satisfactory operation as an air conditoning system to all areas served by AHU 100-3. 4) Mail Room: (Area serviced to Air Handling Unit 70-1.) To include but not limited to: Remove all existing ductwork and defusers, duct runs from re-heat boxes and restore re-heat box ductwork per original prints. Install new VAV control box, new ductwork, new 24" lay in defusers, and install control for new box #14 to be regulated inside Mail Room. Provide hot water valve, balancing valve, insolation valves, and drain tee with valve. Inspect AHU 70-1 for problems with outside air dampers and control and repair as necessary. Inspect outside condensing unit and ensure proper operation-repair as necessary. Balance system as required.
