This will be accomplished by dredging a basin that is no more than 300 feet wide, a minimum of 25 feet deep and a maximum of 4,500 feet in length. This announcement is the resolicitation of solicitation 1425-98-SI-34-00114 which was canceled on April 20, 1998. The project location will encompass Yuma County Arizona and Imperial County California. The magnitude of the project ranges from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Contractors should have the capabilities to pump dredged material 2 to 4 miles. This project will be procured using full and open competition. The standard industry code for this procurement is 1629. The size standard is 13.5 million with the following footnote: to be considered a small business for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small business dredging concern.
