The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to procure a proprietary DNA Sequencer Upgrade Kit as manufactured by PE Applied Biosystems. The Line items are: (1) Model 377XL-C DNA Sequence Upgrade Kit-Pt. #377XL-C (2) Sequence Analysis V.3 Upgrade-Pt. #401760 (3) Genescan Single User License-Pt.#402164 (4) Genescan Software 377 Kit-Pt. #672-70 (5) Comb, 48 Well Shark 0.2mm Mylar-Pt. #402177 (6) Comb, 50 Well SQ 0.2mm Mylar-Pt. #402177 (7) Genotyper Software 2-Pack-Pt #401667 (8) TF Kit BDT BR-1000-Pt. #403150 Delivery shall be to the National Institutes of Health, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Md 20892, F.O.B. destination. The proposed procurement is critical to a multiple of projects related to Genetic Analysis utilizing sequencing applications. The requested 377XL Sequencer Upgrade Kit shall meet the following requirements: (1) Completely integrated and compatible with existing Automated Sequencer 377A. (2) Capable of allowing for the simultaneous analysis of up to 64 lanes. (3) Increase the throughput of existing Sequencer 377A by 70% (4) Capable of collecting twice the current number of data points as it scans the gels. (5) Provide higher definition on the gel image. (6) Installation of upgrade shall be recognized by manufacturer of the Automatic Sequencer 377A and in no way violate or void any warranty/service contract. See number Note 22. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The government will award a fixed price purchase order to the responsible Contractor.
