17 -- TRAVERSE WINCH BRAKE ASSEMBLY SOL N68335-98-Q-0235 DUE 052998 POC Darla M Kelly 732-323-7437 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure as a sole-source procurement the following: TRAVERSE WINCH BRAKE ASSEMBLY. All quantities are as listed: Traverse Winch Brake Assembly, quantity 38 each (P/N 524745-1). This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Indal Technologies, as the sole manufacturer of the Traverse Winch Brake Assembly to be acquired, is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary for the manufacture and the design/application requirements involved. It is intended to negotiate an order with Indal Technologies under the terms and conditions of Basic Ordering Agreement N68335-95-G-0246. Firms that recognize and produce the required items are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.The Government anticipates a firm fixed price contract.
