Eglin AFB has a requirement to Replace HVAC/Repair Electrical Hangar 102, Eglin AFB, FL. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operation in connection with Replace HVAC/Repair Electrical Hangar 102, Eglin AFB, FL. This is a "Best Value" Contract. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. The work consists of replacement of HVAC and Electrical systems and all associated ductwork and wiring for both building wings flanking Hanger 102, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. This will include the removal of the existing suspended ceiling system which will be replaced with a new system at the completion of the mechanical and electrical work. Other work includes renovation of both the men's and women's toilet facilities to accommodate the physically handicapped. Toilet room work includes demolition and replacement of shower partitions and addition of ceramic tile to new partitions and shower stalls. The existing facility will not be occupied (and in full operation) during construction. The area of work will be vacated during construction. There shall be no interruption of utility services or facilities operation without prior notification. The contractor shall not impair existing fire alarm and detection systems. When require4d, contractor shall provide temporary but equivalent systems. (Work which would significantly interfere with facility operation must be performed after facility hours or on weekends). Performance period is 120 calendar days. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications.
