E-MAIL: Donna Reinhart, Reinhart.Donna@epamail.epa.gov. The U.S. EPA has a requirement for the operation of cafeteria services on-site at the Andrew W. Briedenbach Environmental Research Center (AWBERC) located at 26 West Martin Luther King Drive in Cincinnati, Ohio. The building has approximately 700-800 people. It is anticipated that 20%-to 50% may elect to eat at the cafeteria for breakfast or lunch. The service required will include breakfast, lunch and the provision of snacks and hot/cold beverages available at all times. The hours of operation for the cafeteria are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. Cafeteria services will be provided 5 days per week, Monday through Friday except holidays observed by the Federal government. The square feet for the cafeteria is 5200. Seating capacity is 250 people. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to provide a variety of quality prepared foods. The contractor shall meet business and industry standards of quality and nutrition and comply and support the 1990 and all subsequent revisions of the U.S. Dietary Guidelines. The variety and appearance of food in the cafeteria on each operating day shall be consistent with approved food service industry standards for comparable "business and industry" cafeterias. It is anticipated that a 12 month contract will be issued with up to four 12 month option periods. The anticipated contract award date is October 1998. The EPA will issue a "no-cost", "profit/loss" type contract. The solicitation will be processed under full and open competition procedures. A pre-proposal conference is anticipated and will be identified in the solicitation. All responsible offerors may submit a proposal. Copies of the solicitation are available on the Internet.
