The National Institute of Mental Health proposes to issue a solicitation (RFP) No. NIMH-98-OS-0009 entitled "Educational Support Activities" as Small Business Set-Aside under SIC Code 8741. The NIMH plans to award a five year cost-reimbursement contract, and plan to make the award by September 30, 1998. This is a similar requirement to NIMH contract N01MH50004 currently held by Professional Media Services, Inc. The purpose of this contract is to support Office of Scientific Information educational activities in furthering the broad dissemination of research results and science-based knowledge that is contributing to the improved diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. The major objectives to be accomplished of this requirement are:  Coordination and support of NIMH Outreach Partners  Coordination and support of NIMH Education Network  Coordination and support of localized media outreach efforts pertaining to special events such as screening days, Black Family Reunion, etc.  Coordination and staffing of an exhibits program  Outreach to special populations, including Latinos, African Americans, Asian Americans, and other ethnic minorities as well as elderly, youth, and college-aged populations  Marketing, distributing, and tracking of NIMH-produced educational materials Request for Proposal (RFP) No. NIMH-98-OS-0009 will be available on or about May 26, 1998 and the receipt date of proposal on or about June 26, 1998.
