This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ No. 864152). The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 5049. This requirement is set aside for small businesses, the size standard is 750 employees. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has a requirement for (1) Fluostar '97 Microplate Fluorometer with excitation filters: 355, 390, 485, and 544 nm; and emission filters: 405, 460, 538, and 590 nm. PC software, top/bottom optics, time-resolved kit, low UV to 250 nm, maintenance kit, cables, instruction manuals. This equipment will allow the development of sensitive and highly specific cytotoxicity, endpoint and ELISA assays. Other back-up equipment includes: (1) Incubation Option for above unit, (1) Absorbance Option for above unit, (1) Robot Compatible Plate transport for above unit, (1) QC Plate for the above unit, (1) Extra filter, 290 nm excitation, (1) Extra filter, 350 nm emission, (1) Extra filter, 584 nm excitation, and (1) Extra filter, 630 nm emission. This equipment will be installed by the vendor which also must provide instructions on the use of the equipment. This equipment must include a standard warranty one (1) year on parts and labor.
