The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240, has a requirement for valet parking services to alleviate the severe parking problems at this facility. The contract period is 8/17/98 -- 8/16/99 with one (1) one-year renewal option. Based on current operations, it is estimated that the contractor will address approximately 600 cars per day in the main circle parking area. Approximately 400 vehicles are currently parked daily by the contractor in the main circle parking area with approximately 200 vehicles being self-parked. (Upon return, parking patrons are given the option of having an attendant deliver the car or retrieving the car themselves.) The current valet parking operation will be expanded to provide additional employee parking throughout the duration of the Environmental Care construction project (estimated 8/17/98 -- 7/17/00). Hours of operation are 6:30 A.M. -- 6:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, in the main circle parking area; and 6:30 A.M. -- 8:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, in the employee valet/high density assisted parking area(s). Parking areas involved are identified on drawings enclosed with the solicitation package. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Applicable SIC code is 7521. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. A narrative technical proposal responding to the evaluation factors outlined in the solicitation and a price proposal will be submitted in separate envelopes.
