J -- MAINTENANCE & REPAIR OF FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SOL RFQ 548-98-SB-10 DUE 052798 POC Suzanne Byrne 561-882-6508 VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida intends to award a contract for all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to provide maintenance and repair services to Simplex fire alarm system located at VA Medical Center, 7305 N. Military Trail West Palm Beach, Florida 33410. Contract period will be 10/1/98 -- 9/30/99 with four one-year options for renewal. Contractor will be responsible for all components in the system with the exception of peripheral equipment replacement. Service calls will be available 24 hours a day, including after hours emergency service, with a four hour response time. Contractors who believe they can furnish this type of service, are invited to submit, in writing, documentation of their capability, which may include literature and/or brochures. This informtion will be used to evaluate and determine competitiveness. If no requests for solicitaiton are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with negotiations for a sole source award with Simplex Time Recorder Co. All requests for solicitaiton must be received, in writing, by May 27, 1998. Solicitations will be issued on or about 6/1/98. No phone or fax requests will be accepted. (0127)
