76 -- INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS, EDUCATIONAL SUPPLIES AND SERVICES FOR A MUSIC PROGRAM 7TH-12TH GRADE, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE DEPENDENTS SCHOOLS SOL MDA414-98-R-0002 DUE 072498 POC Contract Specialist Rachel Taylor (804-327-0568), Contracting Officer Sue Sarnecky (804-327-0560) Description -- - PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR A MUSIC PROGRAM, SEVENTH THROUGH TWELFTH GRADE, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE DEPENDENTS SCHOOLS SYSTEM. MDA414-98-R-0002 due 072498. Provide instructional materials for a music program, seventh through twelfth grade, for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools System. Contractors will be required to submit student textbooks or equivalents, teacher's editions of the student text, teacher's resource packages, technological and multi-media materials, if available, and assessment materials as well as provide professional support services for teachers, music coordinators, and administrators which shall be evaluated by the Government. To enhance competition, the music program has been divided as follows: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Band; Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Vocal Music; String Orchestra; Guitar; General Music; Computer Music; and Music Theory/Composition. Contractors selecting Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced Band or Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced Vocal Music must submit one complete set of sample materials for each level represented to be considered for that grouping. Contractors selecting any of the other music courses must submit one complete set of sample materials for each course selected to be considered. Materials will be evaluated for: Correlation with Department of Defense Dependents Schools Music Content Standards, quality of the assessment materials, and fair and equal treatment of diverse students. Contractors may submit more than one proposal; however, each proposal must be independently submitted and will be independently evaluated. Contractors shall not submit any music instructional material for review to schools, teachers, music coordinators, or other employees of the Department of Defense Education Activity or Department of Defense Dependents Schools during this solicitation phase. The contract will be a requirements type; performance period is estimated as a base period and four twelve month, option periods All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The proposed solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 15 Jun 1998. The solicitation will address submission of proposals including time, date and mailing instructions.
