This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number RFQ-0012-4384-98 is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. FAR 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set Aside is applicable to this acquisition. The standard industrial classification code is 3537. The small business size standard is 750 employees. Delivery of item will be to USDA, ARS, Sugarcane Field Station, Canal Point, Fl. Any interested/qualified sources who can provide the item above must respond by May 29, 1998. Descriptive literature showing the quoted fortlift meets all specifications included herein must be included. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsive/responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is most price advantageous to the government. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror/REpresentations and Certifications-Commercial Items with its quotation. SPECIFICATIONS FOR ONE FORKLIFT TO BE DELIVERED TO CANAL POINT Fl: rough terrain tires, 12" ground clearance, 16"x24" minimum size for drive tires, 60 HP diesel engine, forward reverse shuttle, 4 speed synchronized transmission, differential lock, 20' mast, 5000 pound lift capacity, 2 wheel drive, 48" forks, 60" carriage with load guard for carriage, carriage side shift. Dealer must be in an 80 mile radius of Canal Point Florida with a service/repair department capable of picking up and delivering lift for any service/repair needed. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. Acceptance of the standard commercial warranty does not waive the Government's rights under the Inspection clause nor does it limit the Government's rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precendence over the standard commercial warranty. The contractor shall provide a copy of its standard commercial warranty (if applicable) with its response.
